大正新修大藏经第 02 册 No. 0145 佛母般泥洹经 No. 145 [Nos. 125(52.1), 144] 佛母般泥洹经 宋沙门慧简译 闻如是: 一时,佛在维耶离国,行在猕猴水边拘罗曷讲堂上。大爱道比丘尼者,即从佛母也,时在维耶离国,与女除馑五百人俱,皆是应真,获六通四达神足变化,年耆德尊神曜巍巍,其精舍在王园,所度无量,深入普智定,睹世尊逮阿难、鹙鹭子、大目乾连,所度已毕将欲灭度日,“吾不忍见世尊.如来.无所著.正真道.最正觉,及诸应真泥曰,吾当先息灵还乎本无矣。” 佛一切智具照其然,即告阿难:“大爱道念曰:‘吾不忍见世尊,并诸应真泥曰,欲先灭度。’” 阿难闻教即稽首言:“今闻尊命,四体萎堕心塞智索,不识四方之名。” 佛告阿难:“汝谓大爱道灭度,将戒种、慧种、定种、解脱种、度知见种,若四意止、四意断、四神足、五根、五力、七觉意、八品道行去耶?” 对曰:“不也。但惟佛生七日大后薨,母慈至有大弘恩在佛所耳。” 世尊叹曰:“真如汝言,母于吾诚有哺乳重恩之惠,吾亦有难算之恩在母所也。由吾明获归命佛、归命法、归命圣众,自归习尽道冥灭明盛,无疑于三尊,苦习尽道道眼明尽解,结解获无所著。若人能悟愚者之惑,令入正真,归佛、归法、归乎圣众,自归习尽道者,受道弟子,尽天下名珍,讫其年寿供养经师,万未塞一,归命三尊恩过须弥,弟子由芥子也。是故,阿难!吾有重恩于大爱道所,其为无量也。” 于时大爱道与除馑女五百人俱到佛所,皆头面着佛足退叉手立。大爱道白佛言:“吾不忍睹佛及诸应真灭度,欲先泥曰。”佛默可之。大爱道以手摩佛足曰:“吾免睹如来.应仪.正真道.最正觉.道法御.天人师.三界明,自今不复睹之矣。”五百除馑女陈辞如上,佛亦可之也,为说身患生死忧悲苦、不如意𤺙之难,无欲清净空不愿无相灭度之安若干净品。诸女除馑莫不欢喜,绕佛三匝稽首而去。 还乎精舍,布五百座,皆各就坐。大爱道现神足德,自坐没地从东方来,在虚空中化,去地一树转升七树,经行虚空中,乍坐乍卧,上身出水,下身出火,下身出水,上身出火,又没地中飞东方来,没法如前,八方上下来,放大光明以照诸冥中人,上曜诸天。五百除馑变化俱然,同时泥曰。 佛告贤者阿难:“汝明旦入城到耶游理家所,告之曰:‘佛母及五百耆年除馑皆已灭度,佛劝理家作五百舆床,麻油、香花、樟楠梓事各五百,贡妓正音当以供养。所以然者?斯诸除馑皆六通四达,获空不愿无相净定,今得泥曰,为诸佛所叹,一时之供养,其福无数。’”阿难稽首于地恻然敬诺,平旦入城至理家门,告守门者曰:“入云吾来。”门人入,如事云。理家时在高观与乐人相娱,闻阿难来,心怖毛竖,即下观疾出,五体投地,以手着足长跪而曰:“贤者阿难!今来甚早,斯事非恒,将以何故?”阿难如佛教具为理家说之。理家闻之即擗身于地,抗哀而云:“吾等岂有非佛弟子不肖之行,而为除馑所弃矣,长逝无为而无遗教乎!”嘘唏重曰:“贤者阿难!自维耶梨精舍都为空寂,王道四街不复睹神通女除馑,如彼盛德行于国道。国道为空,其痛何甚乎!”阿难答曰:“佛说乾坤虽为长久,始必有终,盛者有衰,恩爱当离,睹异欲永者寻行受报,三界无常其如幻梦,古来非常苦身之患其祸无量,而愚者不见,可谓瞽矣。生求不死、会毕不离者,终不可得也、上贤睹佛经奥、解四非常,如盲得视,精进勤行可免重苦矣。”阿难引若干要说,以释理家结,理家心解即喜。 阿难复至诸梵志理家所,时,其众在讲堂有异议,即告之曰:“佛劝诸贤者作五百人葬具。所以然者?佛母并五百女除馑皆已灭度。”梵志理家闻阿难言,靡不擗地椎心搣发宛转哀号云:“当奈何?吾等孤露将腹谁恃乎?”阿难又说:“三界是幻都为非常,身为苦器𤺙痛所聚,唯泥曰安,故三尊归之也。”理家心解稽首足下。阿难还至佛所,如事以闻。 梵志理家即具葬具,驰诣精舍。时园门闭,理家使人缘入开门欲入讲堂。有女沙弥三人,一人得不还道,次者频来,小者沟港,告理家曰:“吾师坐禅今得寂定,慎无扰也。”答曰:“师已灭度,不为定也。”沙弥闻之,擗身绝息有顷乃稣,哀号而曰:“谁当复诲吾等圣训绝吾者废也?”理家睹之莫不举哀,哀毕告沙弥曰:“佛本说经,恩爱虽会终必有离,世荣难保唯道可久,但当建志进取应真,灭三界苦。捐俗哀心也。” 理家阇维毕,奉舍利诣佛所,佛告鹙鹭子:“汝东向叉手下右膝曰:‘有直信直业三神六智道神已足者,皆来赴斯。所以然者?佛母逮诸除馑女五百人,今皆善逝,宜当会。’四方俱然。”于是四方各二百五十应真,神足飞来稽首佛足。佛起至大爱道舍利所,千比丘从,皆就。告阿难:“取舍利盛之,以钵着吾手中。”阿难如命,以钵盛舍利长跪授佛,佛以两手受之,告诸比丘:“斯聚舍利,本是秽身凶愚急暴,轻心疾转嫉姤阴谋,败道坏德为乱作先之类,今母拔女人凶愚之秽,为丈夫行获应真道,还灵本无净过虚空,行高无盖何其健哉!”佛告诸比丘及理家众:“共为母及诸应真女兴庙。”佥曰:“唯然!”于是天人鬼龙兴庙立刹,华香作乐绕庙三匝。哀者震国,诣佛敬信,辄说:“生死为苦,三界无安。”以释来者,莫不欢喜,稽首而去。 佛母般泥洹经 佛般泥洹后变记 我般泥洹后百岁,我诸弟子沙门,聪明智慧如我无异。我般泥洹后二百岁时,阿育王从八王索八斛四斗舍利,一日中作八万四千佛图。三百岁时,若有出家作沙门,一日中便得道。四百岁时,数念佛及法以比丘僧,供养和上阿阇梨。五百岁时,沙门婆罗门及人民,无不啼泣念佛者。六百岁时,诸沙门便行入山中树下冢间求道。七百岁时,便行内外学经,若有沙门婆罗门问事无不解了,悉坏九十六种外道。八百岁时,便复念行作佛图䔺疾次作佛图。九百岁时,便念行治生求利害处所。千岁时,便行与国王相随教习兵法战阵,自行屠杀妻娶妇女。 佛般泥洹后变记
