大正新修大藏经第 02 册 No. 0137 舍利弗摩诃目连游四衢经 No. 137 [No. 125(45.2)] 舍利弗摩诃目连游四衢经 后汉外国三藏康孟详译 闻如是: 一时,释氏舍夷阿摩勒药树园。尔时,贤者舍利弗、摩诃目乾连比丘,游行诸国经历一年,与大比丘众俱,比丘五百,还至药树,欲见世尊。是等来还,比丘众多各共语言,各各着衣持钵,其声高大音响畅逸。佛以豫知,问贤者阿难:“此何比丘?扬大音声其响洋逸,如捕鱼师扬声验逸?” 阿难白佛:“唯然世尊!舍利弗、目乾连,游止诸国经历一载,大比丘众五百人俱至于药树,见诸比丘各各谈语,着衣持钵,语言声高音响畅溢。” 佛语阿难:“勿令比丘来至吾许。”阿难白佛:“唯然。”奉命从座起,稽首佛足绕佛三匝而退,往诣舍利弗、目连比丘所,言语叙闹却住一面,谓贤者舍利弗、目连:“令余比丘勿诣佛所,世尊有教。”舍利弗、目连闻阿难言,即从坐起往诣佛所,稽首足下绕佛三匝,速去衣钵,出诣药树与比丘众俱。 尔时,释种诸优婆塞,悉聚会有所讲一义,遥见舍利弗、大目连,比丘众俱,着衣持钵,昼日平旦诣于药树下,“五百比丘众俱,吾等宁可往问起居。”时,诸释种优婆塞众,即起速往诣舍利弗目连所,前稽首足下却住一面。 时,诸清信士问舍利弗、目连:“何故着衣持钵,昼日而往于药树间?”舍利弗、目连答释种清信士:“吾等游诸国来还诣比丘众,皆以疲倦今此露住。”诸清信士答曰:“唯诸贤者!吾等于斯具足施坐然灯为明,唯愿屈神及比丘众,若谓佛者乃可舍退。”贤者舍利弗、大目乾连,嘿然可之,寻往所施坐其床榻,则入其室与众僧俱坐。 尔时,释种诸清信士,往诣佛所稽首足下叉手白佛:“我等请求世尊求哀安住,唯然大圣!信比丘众。所以者何?于彼比丘诸漏尽者,已得罗汉所作已办,吾不怀疑。此等比丘亦不犹豫,其有比丘幼少新学初出家者,入是法律未久,其心移易或能变异,譬如世间暴水卒来无所遮隔。如是世尊!新学比丘初出家者,入是法律未久,其心移易或能变异,不觐大圣恐改志行。” 于时梵天忽然来下,即住佛前叉手白言:“我等请求世尊,求哀安住,唯然大圣!信比丘众。所以者何?于众比丘诸漏尽者,已得罗汉所作已办,吾不疑。此等比丘亦不犹豫,其有比丘幼小新学初出家者,入是法律未久,其心移易或能变异。”佛即然可梵天王。贤者摩诃目乾连,天眼彻视遥见佛心可之,请求睹大圣德。如大枰阁若大讲堂,净洁涂治开诸轩窗,日东初出入于轩窗光照西壁,贤者目连天眼彻视,遥见世尊相好巍巍,时目乾连寻语比丘众:“诸贤者!当起着衣持钵,梵天请求诸幼小各诣。”比丘曰:“唯当受教。”速正衣服,随舍利弗、大目连等往诣佛所,稽首足下退坐一面。 于时,世尊告舍利弗:“吾亦前世供比丘众,于心云何?”舍利弗,心自念言:“世尊宿世供比丘众,于此大圣,比丘质朴,于求望知节行安常志精进,佛天中天则为法王,调者不调然当受教,诸比丘众举动轻飘,今日大圣慈愍众僧。”佛言:“善哉善哉!舍利弗!正当念此蠲除恶念。所以者何?谁为比丘众去诸重担?唯如来耳无所不住,及舍利弗、摩诃目乾连。” 时,佛告大目连曰:“于心云何?谁敬比丘众?谁制比丘众?”我心念言:“今佛世尊敬制比丘众,唯然大圣!此比丘众或有质朴少求知足,或不能者,自谓行安精进无懈,如来法王自应当然,吾亦如是。”佛言:“且止,勿有斯念!当更异念。所以者何?于是目连,谁能堪任去诸重担?唯如来耳,及舍利弗、大目乾连。 “以信渡流氾, 无放逸为船, 圣谛济苦患, 智慧究竟渡。” 佛分别是语时,六十比丘漏尽意解,无数比丘远尘离垢,诸法眼生。 佛说如是,诸比丘、清信士、天、龙、鬼神,莫不欢喜。 舍利弗摩诃目连游四衢经
