大正新修大藏经第 02 册 No. 0127 佛说四人出现世间经 No. 127 [No. 125(26.5)] 佛说四人出现世间经 宋天竺沙门求那跋陀罗译 闻如是: 一时婆伽婆,在舍卫城祇树给孤独园。尔时,王波斯匿乘羽䎂车群臣围绕,出舍卫城,便往园中至世尊所,头面礼足在一面坐,欲听说法。 时世尊告波斯匿王:“有四人出现世间。云何为四?或复有人先丑而后妙,或复有人先妙而后丑,或复有人先丑后丑,或复有人先妙后妙。 “云何人先丑后妙?或复有人生卑贱家,若旃陀罗家,若魁脍家,若工巧家,若剔须发家、贫穷家,无谷米处食不充口,虽复得食臭秽弊恶。生如此家,颜色丑弊,人不喜见为人轻蔑,身行善、口行善、意行善。彼已身修善行、口修善行、意修善行,若见沙门婆罗门已,便起谦卑意,承事恭敬不失时节。若见供养者,见已便欢喜踊跃,命终时生善处天上。譬如有人从地至小床,从小床至大床,从大床至马,从马至象,从象至大讲堂,以是故我说此人先丑后妙。如是,彼人先丑后妙。 “云何人先妙后丑?若有人生豪尊家,或刹利大姓家,婆罗门大姓家,或长者大姓家,或王家,或太子家,或大臣家及诸大家,颜色端正无有比,色如桃花。彼人便身行恶、口行恶、意行恶,彼若见沙门、婆罗门、诸长宿,彼见已无恭敬心亦不礼事,亦不与言论。彼若见供养者,见已便起嫉妒心,此是邪见、犹豫见所摄此便有邪见,无施亦无福亦无受者,亦无善恶行,亦无今世后世,无父无母,世无阿罗汉等修妙行者,疾得证通而娱乐中。彼以有此成就恶邪见,若命终时生三恶趣狱中,犹如彼人从讲堂转下至象项,从象至马,从马至大床,从大床至小床,从小床首足堕地,由是故我说彼人先妙后丑。如是,彼人先妙后丑。 “彼云何人先丑后丑?或有人生卑贱家,或旃陀罗家,或魁脍家,或工巧家,或剔须发家,及余贫贱,无有饮食,虽复得食臭秽难尝。生如此家,彼身行恶、口行恶、意行恶。彼已身行恶、口行恶、意行恶,若见沙门、婆罗门、诸尊长者,亦不恭敬亦不礼事,亦不与共言论,彼是邪见与犹豫见相应,彼便有是见,无施无福亦无受者,亦无善恶行报,亦无今世后世,无父无母,世无沙门婆罗门等行业者,无阿罗汉于今世后世疾得证通娱乐其中。彼与恶见相应,命终时生三趣入地狱中。譬如人从冥至冥,从暗至暗,由是故说此人先丑后丑。如是,彼人先丑后丑。 “彼云何人先妙后妙?若有人生豪尊家,生刹利大姓家,或婆罗门大姓家,或长者大姓家,或王家,或太子家,大臣家,极富饶财多宝,彼人极端正无比,色如桃华。彼身修善行、口修善行、意修善行。彼身已修善行,口已修善行,意已修善行,彼若见沙门、婆罗门、诸尊长者,若见便恭敬礼事供养供给,若见有人来供养承事礼敬,便发欢喜,彼与等见相应无颠倒相。彼有是见,有施有福有受者,有善恶行,有今世后世,有父有母,世有沙门、婆罗门等修梵行者,阿罗汉于今世后世疾得证通娱乐其中。彼已成就善见,命终时生天上。譬如人从讲堂至讲堂,从观至观,游一宫殿至一宫殿,由是故我说彼人先妙后妙。如是,彼人先妙后妙。如是,大王!有四人出现于世。” 尔时世尊便说偈言: “大王人贫贱, 得信好布施, 见沙门梵志, 及诸乞求者, 承事礼恭敬, 等修诸善业, 见施常欢喜, 乞者亦惠施, 是施微妙业, 更不受瑕秽。 如是王此人, 彼临命终时, 生三十三天, 先丑而后妙。 大王人有财, 无信怀嫉妒, 常欲行非行, 邪见无有师, 见沙门梵志, 及诸乞求者, 诽谤常骂詈, 悭贪如无财, 见施往遏绝, 乞者不惠施, 彼命非妙业, 彼人受瑕秽。 如是王此人, 临欲命终时, 必生入地狱, 先妙而后丑。 大王人贫贱, 无信悭贪心, 常欲行非行, 邪见无有师, 见沙门梵志, 及诸乞求者, 诽谤常骂詈, 悭贪言无财, 见施而遏绝, 乞者不惠施, 彼命非妙业, 彼人受瑕秽。 如是王此人, 临欲命终时, 必生入地狱, 先丑而后丑。 大王人饶财, 好信常布施, 见沙门梵志, 及诸乞求者, 承事礼恭敬, 等修诸善业, 见施常欢喜, 乞者亦惠施, 是世微妙业, 更不受瑕秽。 如是王此人, 临欲命终时, 生三十三天, 先妙而后妙。 “是故,大王!当作是学。如是,大王!当作是学,先妙而后妙,莫学先丑而后丑。如是,大王!当作是学。” 尔时波斯匿王闻佛所说,欢喜奉行。 佛说四人出现世间经
