大正新修大藏经第 01 册 No. 0095 蚁喻经 No. 95 [~M. 23, Vammīka sutta.] 佛说蚁喻经 西天译经三藏朝奉大夫试光禄卿传法大师赐紫臣施护奉 诏译 尔时,世尊放大光明普照耀已,告苾刍众言:“汝等当知!于一时中有诸蚁聚,夜中出烟,昼日火然。有一婆罗门,见是事已,乃作是言:‘若有执持快利刀者,必能破散其聚。’如是言已,次复见一大龟,其婆罗门亦作是言:‘若有执持快利刀者,必能破坏。’次见诸水母虫,次见一水蛭虫,次见诸阿西苏那虫,次见一大蛇,次见一挼陀钵他虫,次见一[昝-人+几]哥嚩吒虫,其婆罗门见彼诸虫已,皆如前言。最后见一大龙,婆罗门言:‘如我所见,其事云何?唯佛世尊悉能了知。’即时往诣一苾刍所,具陈上事,复言:‘苾刍!汝以此事为我问佛,使我疑心而得开晓,如佛所说我当忆持。何以故?苾刍!我不见彼天人世间沙门婆罗门众中,有以此义能问佛者,是故不能使诸疑心而得开晓。’ “时彼苾刍即如其言,来诣我所,到已礼足退住一面。具陈上事已复发问言:‘如婆罗门所见蚁聚,其事云何?夜中出烟、昼日火然,此复云何?又见大龟、水母虫、水蛭虫、阿西苏那虫、大蛇、挼陀钵他虫、[昝-人+几]哥嚩吒虫、大龙,此等所见皆是何相?即彼婆罗门复是何人?何故名为利刀破散?愿佛为说。’ “诸苾刍!我时谓彼苾刍言:‘其蚁聚者,即是一切众生五蕴聚身。夜中出烟者,即是众生起诸寻伺。昼日火然者,即是众生随所寻伺起身语业。大龟者,即是五鄣染法。水母虫者,即是忿恚。水蛭虫者,即是悭嫉。阿西苏那虫者,即是五欲之法。蛇者,即是无明。挼陀钵他虫者,是疑惑。[昝-人+几]哥嚩吒虫者,是我慢。龙者,即是诸阿罗汉。婆罗门者,即是如来.应供.正等正觉。快利者,即是有智之人。刀者,即是智慧。破散者,即是发起精进胜行。’ “诸苾刍!于汝意云何?彼所见相以要言之,即是一切众生五蕴聚身羯逻蓝等,父母不净之所出生,四大合成,虚假色相,粗恶劣弱,积集苦恼毕竟破坏。而诸众生不能觉知,于昼夜中起诸寻伺,而身语业不善施作,五鄣烦恼之所覆蔽,耽着五欲,增长无明,生我慢心,于诸圣法疑惑不决,忿恚悭嫉,念念发起,不求解脱。是故如来.应供.正等正觉,欲令诸有智者发精进行,修习智慧,断诸烦恼,趣证圣果。汝诸苾刍!已尽诸漏证阿罗汉果,故说如龙。 “复次,诸苾刍!过去未来诸佛世尊,悲愍利乐一切众生,欲令断诸烦恼趣证圣果,为诸声闻广说是义。我于今日亦如诸佛,乃以此缘为汝宣说。汝诸苾刍!忆念是事,当于旷野空舍、山间树下、岩穴庵室诸寂静处,谛心思惟观察是义,无令放逸生退转心,亦复转为他人开示教导,普令修习得大利乐。” 尔时世尊为诸苾刍如是说已,而诸苾刍,皆悉信受。 佛说蚁喻经
