大正新修大藏经第 01 册 No. 0047 离睡经 No. 47 [No. 26(83)] 佛说离睡经 西晋月氏国三藏竺法护译 闻如是: 一时,婆伽婆在婆祇尸牧摩鼻量鹿野苑中。彼时,尊者大目乾连在摩竭善知识村。彼尊者大目乾连,独在静处经行而睡,世尊知尊者大目乾连独在静处经行而睡。彼时世尊知尊者大目乾连独在静处经行睡已,即如其像三昧正受,以三昧意,犹若力士屈申臂顷,世尊亦如是,在婆祇尸牧摩鼻量鹿野苑中忽然不现,至摩竭善知识村,在尊者大目乾连前。彼时世尊从三昧起,告尊者大目乾连曰:“汝目乾连!汝目乾连!汝欲睡?”“唯然。世尊!”“为何以念而欲睡耶?莫行想,莫分别想,莫多分别,如是睡当离。汝若睡不离者,汝,目乾连!如所闻法,如所诵法,广当诵习,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!如所闻法,如所诵法,当广为他说,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!如所诵法,如所闻法,意当念当行,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!当以冷水洗眼及洗身支节,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!当以两手相挑两耳,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!当起出讲堂,四方视及观星宿,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!当在空处仿佯行,当护诸根,意念诸施,后当具想,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!当还离仿佯,举尼师坛敷着床上,结跏趺坐,如是睡当离。若不离者,汝,目乾连!当还入讲堂,四叠敷郁多罗僧着床上,举僧伽梨着头前,右胁着床上,足足相累,当作明想,当无乱意,常作起想思惟住。 “汝,目乾连!莫乐床、莫乐右胁眠、莫乐睡、莫乐世间恭敬以为味。何以故?目乾连!我不说近一切法,我亦不说不近一切法。云何,目乾连!我说不近一切法?汝,目乾连!我说不亲近白衣。目乾连!若亲近白衣住者,但有论俱不与诵俱,因彼论便有谀谄憍慢,因有憍慢便有嫉妒,因嫉妒不知息。汝,目乾连!若有不息已,三昧便远离,是为,目乾连!我说此不亲近法。云何,目乾连!我说亲近法?目乾连!当至静处草蓐为床,默然不言,远离诸恶、离人众,常当坐思惟。是为,目乾连!我说亲近法。 “目乾连!若入村乞食,当莫求利报,当莫求恭敬。汝,目乾连!息利报恭敬意已,当入村乞食。汝,目乾连!入村乞食,当莫以想入他家。何以故?目乾连!居士家多有俗缘。若比丘入居士家不共言,彼比丘便作是念:‘谁有向此居士护说我,而令居士不共我言?’便有恚心,有恚已便有贡高,因有贡高便有不息。目乾连!有不息意已,便远离三昧。汝,目乾连!若说法时当莫见胜负,当作不胜意。若作胜意便有多论,因多论便有贡高,因贡高便有嫉妒,因嫉妒便有不息。目乾连!不息已,我说远离三昧。汝,目乾连!若说法时当作有益,当决定说,当莫非他说,当如师子吼论。如是,目乾连!当如是学。” 于是尊者大目乾连从坐起,一面着衣,叉手向世尊,白世尊曰:“唯世尊!云何比丘,至竟尽、至竟无垢、至竟行梵行?” “此目乾连!若比丘所有病痛,若苦若乐若不苦不乐,当观彼痛是无常住,当观是败坏,当观是无染,当观是尽,当观是正,当观是止住处,当如是观彼痛。当观彼痛无常住,当观是败坏,当观是无染,当观是尽,当观是止,当观是止住;便不着此世间,不着已便不恐怖,不恐怖已舍有余般涅槃,生便尽,梵行已成,所作已办,名色已有知如真。是为,目乾连比丘!至竟尽、至竟无垢、至竟梵行、至竟行梵行。” 佛如是说。尊者目乾连闻世尊所说,欢喜而乐。 佛说离睡经
